Nigerian soccer player John Obi Mikel has scored his first goal in a competitive match since he moved to China.

The player exited the Chelsea set-up as he fell in the pecking order. He agreed a move to Chinese Super League side Tianjin TEDA as he decided to continue his professional soccer career.

The Nigerian midfielder John Obi Mikel completed his move from Chelsea to Tianjin TEDA on January 6 of 2017 as the 29 year old player decided to continue his playing career by performing in China and ending his 10 year long stay in the Premier League.

Tianjin TEDA is an Asian club that competes in the Chinese Super League but despite having competed in the top tier league for over 10 years, they have never managed to actually win it and never been able to become the champions.

He becomes one of the latest Premier League players to make the switch to China.
